Getting started
- Monitor: open EMS360 on an iPad and choose Monitor. You'll see today's code. Tap to start.
- Controller: open EMS360 on a second iPad or iPhone, choose Controller and enter the monitor's code. The first time, the monitor asks whether this device may control it: tap Allow there.
- Manikin: open EMS360 Breath on an iPhone, choose Manikin and pair it with the monitor. Turn the volume up and put the iPhone in the chest pocket of the training manikin.
- Only one iPad? Choose Monitor, press and hold the dot in the top-right corner and choose 'Control on this iPad'.
Frequently asked questions
- Does it work without internet? Yes. When the devices are close together they talk directly over Wi‑Fi. With internet, the app fetches the latest version by itself.
- The manikin doesn't vibrate. The palpable pulse only works on an iPhone with a vibration motor, in the app (not in a browser).
- Students shouldn't leave the app. Turn on Guided Access in Settings > Accessibility. Triple-clicking the side button then locks the iPad in the app.
- Opening the monitor menu: press and hold the dot in the top-right corner.
- Can someone else control my monitor? Only if you allow it. A new device first has to be allowed on the monitor, even if it has the right code. 'Disconnect everyone' in the monitor menu removes all devices and gives you a new code.
- The app menu: hold three fingers on the screen for one and a half seconds. There you can reload the page, choose another role or update the saved copy.
